The fab five is posted every Friday to end the week on a happy note and features items on my radar that I’m loving right now. Who knows, you might find something that could be on your fab five list!
So here’s a Dallas recap: 90 degree weather, tornado warning and temp drop, 90 degree weather. Yup that’s how we roll. You know what they say in Texas- if you don’t like the weather, just wait until tomorrow. So true.
On to this week’s fab five:
1. Bruno Mars performance at the 2013 Billboard Awards
Never really liked Bruno Mars. Thought his music was just ok, a pretty boring performer and just didn’t get the hype around him. After this performance, everything changed. I mean his band not only dances, but does choreography. I am a fan of Bruno Mars. Enough said.
2. Dallas Powerhouse of Dance
Oh how I’ve missed this place! After So You Think You Can Dance started up again and my hip hop class being non-existent, I needed to get my groove on and learn some 8-counts. This dance studio does that for me. Gino is one of the instructors there and he is fantastic. Ever have that feeling where you think “I got this”? That was me. Go take a class here, go right now.
3. So You Think You Can Dance
Auditions are going on now and I can’t take how much I love this show. With guest judges like Minnie Driver, Twitch and Jessie Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), you know it’s going to be a great show. Check out the video above of my favorite audition- that kid is going to be a star. Let the dances begin!
4. SNL Stefon Send-Off
Are you one of those people who still watch Saturday Night Live? Stefon is one of my favorite characters played by Bill Hader (who is leaving the show along with Fred Armison and Jason Sudekis). The clip above is his last appearance of the character as the super gay “NYC city correspondent” on the Weekend Update segment. You need to pay attention to the ridiculous descriptions of these fake clubs/bars. Prepare to laugh! (also, check out how the character came to be).
Who doesn’t love pizza? This recipe looks so pretty and would be perfect for a get together at the house or to bring to a potluck. Who’s making these tonight? Also can we talk about how cool this blog name is? It’s got Justin’s name all over it with the bacon.
That’s it for me, have a great weekend everyone!
